Toronto offers a variety of different accommodation possibilities, from hotels to B&Bs – google it.
Eating
Although participants are responsible for their own food throughout the workshop, coffee and muffins will be provided each morning to get things going. There are a variety of great little restaurants and cafes within a 5-minute walk from the workshop venue. Hopefully, we’ll also find some time to break bread together or at least have a pint.
Transportation
You’re on your own! There is parking available on adjacent streets and the venue is a block from Bathurst Station.

- Audio
- An audio recorder. No dictaphones!
- Over ear headphones.
- Card reader
- Photography
- Your regular camera kit: camera (ideally a DSLR), lenses, flashcards, batteries, chargers, etc…
- Laptop or desktop computer (don’t forget your charger & required cables)
- Software: Adobe Audition (free demo for MAC & PC) OR Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) (free for MAC & PC)
- iMovie 09 or 10 (if MAC) OR Movie Maker (if PC)
- Soundslides (you can download a demo version)
- Other useful stuff
- Wet weather gear in case of rain
- Suitable footwear for trekking around the city
- A sense of humor.
